Is there a video of how to install the SholesMod SMUpdater7? From their website so I don't have to pay the 5 dollars? Also, if someonme finds/makes one for when 2.1 comes out.

Now what now? Their website had the link to download the app for free on the home page...click it in your droid browser and then install it like any app...

And I promise you there is no need for a video...you just press buttons and do what it says...

Im cheap so I can see not paying $5 for an app. But I have to admit it is worth it. You know that when you install it you are getting rooted, wifi tethering, ability to oc, and updates with a click of a button. I doubt they are getting rich off the app and they are not a major developer. I personally have no problem supporting them to continue developing the app.

So after you download the app from the droid browers and open it, all the directions are displayed inside it on how to install the update?

I know this sounds ridiculous, but whydo I need to know what I did? If it gives me the same directions everytime, can't I just re-do the program?

Also, does it give you the option to "unroot" your phone and make it stock again?

A basic understanding is all you need to install sholes mod. Heck, I did it completely wrong the first time and the second time it went smooth as butter.

You don't have to spend hours reading somebody's long how to. Just a bit of understanding what's going on.

    !. Your rooting your phone
    2. There is a decision to make between linux and microsoft. I chose linux. If it worked for me, that's probably what you should choose too. However I have seen people choose microsoft and had no problems.
    3. Look at the little menu of stared items see something you don't want one, use your volume key to go up and down and the camera button to select/deselect your items.
    4. Be aware that one of the menus contains items that are going to be deleted. Starred items will not be installed. Blank items will be. Make sure you read what each menu says.
    5. Be careful hitting the camera button when your on finish at the top of the menu. You don't want to do that until you really are finished. Each page has a finished button.
    6. Press the finish button and let her rip. That's it.

do not know if you checked out the video tutorial yet but the one to root install backups is something to check out even if you are using the app. That way if something goes south you know what is going on and you have a better understanding what the app is doing. If u have then ignore.

What is this all about? Are there pros and cons and why do I have to choose an operating system? Isn't it Andriod OS?

Right, which is why I chose linux because its a linux based system. Other then that, I really don't know. But it worked fine for me.
