So I understand SholesMod is no longer active, and now it will be Droid Mod. I have 2.0.3. So where would i find the latest version that was released before the whole drama went down? Sorry i tried searching but couldn't find a straight answer.

Can someone post a link to 2.0.3?

Just wrecked my setup with too many theme add-ons and forgot to backup the Rom. whoops.

didn't realize the themes couldn't be removed and defaults restored.

Just head over to DroidMod's website and download the app they made. It'll put DroidMod v1.0 on there (its the successor to SholesMod 2.0.6)

On a side note, it looks like they are hard at work on a soon to be update.

sorry, posted my other "thought" on another thread.

I've read about a couple large bugs i'm not impressed with on the new DroidMod 1.0. Especially the charging bug, leaving the processor at 800Mhz. I drive with it alot and don't need it melting the car dock (j/k).

*Just seems like their ROMs are getting way too cluttered. I liked the feature set of 2.0.3 and was content.

I guess i'm attached and kicking myself. Looking for a backup now i might have....

I havent had any problems with DroidMod thus far, I can't believe how buggy the 2.1 launcher was. As much as I love it, the 2.0.x launcher is much better. I hope they can figure out a fix :D

They are working on an update and should be released shortly.

Never used the 2.1 launcher after the first couple ROMs b/c of that.

Ok, here's another question. Besides a nandroid backup, i found the SholesMod.tar file that downloads when you used their app. It's for 2.0.3 and has all the options and stuff to choose.

What i want, is the ability to run the app like they do from recovery that lets you pick options.

Gonna test a theory right now. brb. ***EDIT: no luck. Crap. Anyone know how to do this? I'd use their old SMupdater but it requires it to contact the server. wish i could break that, b/c i have all the files it would request.

I have the tar files from previours releases (the 2.0.3.rom.tar and 2.0.5.rom.tar at least). Do those not work if you go into recovery and choose option to install from sd?

I don't understand what the issue is here. Just go to DroidMod - Everything Droid doesn't, DroidMod does. on your phone, download DMupdater and either go back to stock or go to DM 1.0

Unless I'm missing something this seems like the easiest solution.

OMG YOU ARE THE MAN! Install from SD worked perfectly with my 2.0.3.rom.tar. brought up the option list and everything!!! thank you thank you thank you thank you! :icon_ banana:

PS - are you thee Humpa? I used to be on howard forums years ago and used to talk to you about hacking my e815. If so, i owe you again my friend. If not, well, i still owe you! :)

What i'm trying to do is put 2.0.3 back on my phone. I installed too many theme packs and messed up some functionality. I loved 2.0.3 and forgot to do a nandroid backup yesterday before i went theme crazy.

I would prefer not to install DM1.0 b/c of the charging bug. Just found 2.0.3 to be perfect for my needs. Love your guys' work, just trying to re-setup 2.0.3.

Trying to find a work around.

EDIT: Humpa is the man. worked perfectly.

    Yep, that's me.

I like 2.0.5 the best. You can update to that pretty seemlessly if you want. I didn't care for dm1.0 either (which i think is the same as 2.0.6) - one of the reasons being the charging bug. But setcpu released an update - I believe they fixed that charging issue on their end, even though it was only happening on certain kernels.

Charging bug? What charging bug, I haven't seen that and I've been running DM 1.0 for a week now.

Well, so long as you got it working I guess that's all that matters.:)

Hmm. Yeah, i just put 2.0.3 back on w/o wiping data and basically it just fixed my theme problems. I had installed way too many and they were conflicting. Almost like i just reset the phone. viola! thanks again!

What's the benefit of 2.0.5 over 2.0.3? I seem to remember a bug on 2.0.5 that was causing a rukus.

    Got a link to 2.0.5? i'd gladly take a copy :)

PS - Great to see you're still around and hackin'.

There is a bug that sets the CPU to 800Mhz when charging. Like Humpa said, there was an update that SetCPU pushed, but i'm not sure if that fixed it for everyone.

Glad to hear it's working well for you!

I dont have a link to 2.0.5 anywhere and don't feel like uploading it at the moment, though I will. ;)

You probably should try DM1.0 first though, you can always just flash right back to 2.0.3 if you don't like it.

Does anyone have a zip of 2.06 (or 2.05). I miss the smoked glass theme installed on there and I have the charging bug and my phone has been getting a few FCs and so has the music app... 2.06 was very stable for me.
