Settings and file inconsistencies after reboot or usb connection

Im having a strange problem where extra ringtones that come with rubix seem to disappear after a usb connection is made. Overall my settings and files seem to change around after a reboot or a usb connection. Any ideas what might be causing this?

When you connect your usb it automatically mounts your sd card to your pc so you cant access anything on the sd from your phone unless your in charge only mode. Or I could totally be mistaking your problem..... If thats not it could you provide some more info, like what files are moving around?
