I currently have droid overclock at 1.2 and my setcpu settings set at my interest, but one of my issues is that I put charging on a certain setting and when my phone is charging it still says 1200max/ 400min and that's not what they're set at. Any suggestions?

There are different settings for Charging, Charging on AC (wall outlet), and Charging via USB. Make sure you've got a profile set for each. For example when charging from AC, my D2G drops to 1000MHz max speed to offset the extra heat generated. (A wall charger feeds ~850mA vs ~500 from a USB charger, so it gets hotter)

Also, I noticed sometimes the widget or app can get stuck displaying a certain setting, but its not entirely accurate

I haz the global, so with the extra 200 mhz stock it may differ, but oh well.

Complete list is, in order of priority:
Temp above 42C, throttle to 600/300
Screen off, throttle 600/300 ( 300/300 messes with wakeup)
Temp above 40.4C, throttle 800/300
Batt below 60%, throttle 800/300
Batt below 80%, throttle 1000/300
Charging is unthrottled but still profiled. I dont seperate usb/ac since i never usb charge.

Now the advanced settings are a bit flexible... if i were plugged in and watching a high quality flash vid i set the sampling to 32500 or lower, 20 threshold sometimes 11, 0 ignore nice load, 0 powersave bias

For battery saving i find a sample rate of 47250, 86 thresh, 0 load, 141 bias a decent mix of responsiveness and battery savings. Extreme saving is something like 65000, 99, 0, 214. Phone will become unresponsive and 'glitchy' sometimes at this setting. Things will lag when battery starts to drain lower than 60%.

My profiles are:

Temp > 42C 600/600
Screen Off 600/300 (no wake issues for me)
Charging AC 1000/600
Battery < 21% 600/300
Battery < 31% 800/300
Battery < 41% 1000/300

This gets me anywhere from a day and a half of heavy use to almost 3 days of light use on my D2G with extended battery.

Im a big advocate of quickclock advanced which is in the market. I still use setcpu after calibrating with quickclcock for my screen off profile, which is the only one I use. I typically get 14 to 16 hours of heavy use out of each charge. Keep in mind I'm getting these results using the stock rom, which already has noticeably worse battery life than most if not all custom roms.

I was using SetCpu but stopped and just use the profile settings on Droid Overclock app. It seems to have most of the same settings. Just using one app works pretty good for me.

Owww, I used to love playing with Setcpu. I would have all these great profiles and I was constantly fiddling with them. Then I quit. I haven't used Setcpu now for months and months (6? 7?). I let the built in processes run the kernel. I save battery power and I've seen absolutely no ill effects.

Just another viewpoint!! YMMV
