    I just installed DroidMod 164 (1.0). Kernal 2.6.29

SetCPU is up and running. I have a few questions that might also help out other noobs like me installing it for the first time. I did read quite a few threads on the subject but couldn't find a dedicated thread on it. If there is one, please post a link. Thanks in advance.

    1. Max 1200MHz / Min 2500 -- It's set to Max 800 by default. Min set to 250. Questions:
    a) Should I just leave it like this for now, see how my phone runs?
    b) Do I check the "set at boot" option?

    2. CPU Governor - I have no idea, but the default is "ondemand". Leave it?

    3. Profiles - any suggestions on what to set these at? If anyone could give me a rundown from top to bottom that would be great.
    a) Charging
    b) Sleep/standby
    c) Power
    d) Failsafe Profile - Battery > 50.0 C

    4. The widget displays max/min is 800/250 -- but when I click the widget, the slider bar says Max 1200000.
    a) Should I slide that to a lower setting, maybe 1000, or even down to 800?
    b) Or not worry about it?

    5. Advanced tab -- I think I will just leave this one alone lol.

Thanks for any help, and my apologies if this is a dead horse type thread.

1 - its really up to you what you want to run ur CPU at. try 800 and if youre not happy increase it til you get what you want. but id leave the min for all of them at 250. people were having problems waking it when it was at 125 .
    b) set at boot - just runs when you turn your phone on - so yes have it turned on

2 - ondemand is what most pick to set the profile as. I feel as though its most responsive (just how quick the cpu speed changes)

3 - beside when the phones actually on ( thats up to you ) id stay at 250/500 for all of them but turn your critical temp down to something lower (40ish id go with (just my recommendation do it at your own risk)) bc that 122 F - kinda hot wouldnt you say?

4 - the widget is currently displaying your active profile - just because you change the main profile doesnt mean the widget will change (if its overheating itll be in failsafe)

5 - I wouldnt mess with that either unless you know what youre doing :)

    Thanks, that really helped!

BTW, on number 3.d where it says failsafe 50celcius - it should have read Failsafe > Battery 50.0 C -- sorry. Edited to reflect that.

My failsafe is set to 50 Celsius. The chip is rated for much higher temperatures, so I wouldn't worry about that. I also suggest trying out different CPU speeds and decide for yourself if you think the extra mhz (and heat) are worth it. I've been running at 1.2 ghz since it first became available weeks ago and haven't run into any issues.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this question, but when does the phone enter sleep/standby mode? I assumed it was when I hit the power button to shut off the screen.

    So what is it?

The chip may be rated for that, but the failsafe profile is for the battery temp, so the chip will most likely be much hotter than 50 celsius by the time the battery hits 50.

    SetCpu Profiles

I can't understand why the profiles are not working I set them but when the phone sleeps it's still running at the set max / min should I uninstall and reinstall? Everything else is working fine but that Can anyone shed any light
