    Hey guys,

I set my overclock settings too high, it randomly rebooted, now my phone is borked. Is there any way I can remove SetCPU from recovery? I can't do anything once it boots up at the home screen, cause it crashes within seconds. I need to remove SetCPU. Help PLEASE!!

I also read that you could upgrade your kernel. But I dunno which version I currently have. Please help, thanks

And for future ref, dont check the box that says set on boot until you are 100% sure your phone can handle the setting you give it. So next time if it does restart, it wont auto start and give you time to change the setting.

Ok, didn't know you had an Eris. Don't know much about them, but

    1. Are you running a Rom or Stock 2.2?

    2. If it's stock 2.2 did you get it OTA or did you manually install?

I'd try Wiping Data/Cache and reflashing the Rom

I had an Eris with Kaos on it. Few options for you as there arent kernals out there for the Eris like there is for the DROID. Try wiping dalvik first to see if this fixes it. If not you can either reflash the ROM ontop of your current settings or just do a factory reset (wipe)

Prob not what you want to hear but pretty much only options. Or if you have a NAND always go back to that.

Someone from #DroidEris wrote a uninstall script for SetCPU. I flashed it from recovery and now its gone. Phone is back to normal!
