Service always says no bars

My service indicates no bars often until I go to make a phone call.

Does anyone know why this is?

Also is there a fast way like a widget to turn data off?

Got this bad boy yesterday after I smashed my Thunderbolt.

I like it a lot. I miss HTC sync.

I hope I made the right choice taking this over the nexus

Sounds like you may have it set to go into battery saver mode and turn off the cellular radio.

Nah that's not it. The radio works just the signal meter doesnt
