Sending ringtones via text

Hey everyone. New to the forums here, but am an original Droid owner. I know quite a bit about my phone except.........I don't know how to send a downloaded ringtone from an app to another phone via text. Can anyone help me out?

I couldn't even figure out where to find the file to attach on a text. I was able to use the bluetooth file transfer app and send it to some people but didn't work with all phones

ChompSMS is free and allows you to attach anything saved as a ringtone.

I use handcent with out any problems sending ringtones to my wife.
