Today Verizon started pushing a new update for Moto Z Play Droid with software version NDNS26.118-23-12-7. The update brings the latest December 2017 Security patch. Along with this update, Verizon also added the KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability fix and also improved the performance of the device. Now update NDNS26.118-23-12-7 December Security and Krack Fix for Verizon Moto Z Play Droid.

The update is currently rolling via OTA (Over the air) as we speak. Since it is rolling in a phase-wise manner, it may take some time to reach every user with Verizon Moto Z Play Droid. The update carries 1.32GB in size and brings nothing new to the update apart from Krack and December Security Patch..

Download NDNS26.118-23-4 BlueBorne Security for Verizon Moto Z Play Droid Edition
Download NDN26.118-23-12-3 November Security 2017 For Verizon Moto Z Play
Update Android Nougat for Verizon Moto Z Play (NDNS25.137-24-1-2)

Download Install NDNS26.118-23-12-7 December Security for Verizon Moto Z Play Droid

Moto Z Play Droid device came out of the box with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and later upgraded to Nougat OS. The device sports a 5.5 inches Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by 2 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled by 3GB of RAM. The handset has internal storage support 32 GB also you can expand the size up to 256GB via microSD card.

To Install the December Security Patch on Verizon Moto Z Play Droid XT1635, you must be running Stock Firmware without any root. If you are running the latest update of Android Nougat, then you will receive the latest update on your phone. First of all, make sure your device needs to be connected to a WiFi network and second, your device’s battery needs to be fully charged

If you still waiting for this update NDNS26.118-23-12-7 for Verizon Moto Z Play Droid, Go to Settings --> About Phone--> System updates to see if you have an Over-The-Air update. If your phone has received the latest OTA update, then tap YES, I'M IN and select Wi-Fi or Mobile network to download. Once the download is done, tap INSTALL button to start updating your Moto Z Play Droid with NDNS26.118-23-12-7.

Not seen anything yet for my Z Force, but I'll be on the lookout. Thanks for the update.

The last System Version / security update (or maybe two) seemed to roll out the the Z Play first, and then the Z and Z Force.

The logic involved with the pecking order for updates on our phones continues to be interesting at best. I would have thought that an OS change would come before a security update at this point.

I applied the new system version update to the wife's Z Play this morning. No issues noticed. Should roll out to our Z Force's soon.
