search phone

seems like rudimentry question, but I seen other post it with no answers. How do I search files on my phone? the search button takes me to a google internet search, even when I check the files foled in the searchable items.
please help

Goofy Yno,

You need to use a file management application. There is one that comes on the Bionic called "Files" but there are lots of them that you can download from the Market or from the internet in general (like Astro, Linda, etc.). My favorite is "efile" because I find it to be more powerful/have more options but it can also be a bit dangerous if you don't know how to use it, so the others may work out better for you if you are a novice.

I did have astro on my OG. forgot about that. I had better skip apps that could get me in trouble. or you'd get sick of seeing my threads
