    Seamless wallpapers for Home++

    Important: note that for the seamless transition to work, all of these images must be expanded to the maximum width when setting the wallpaper!

    A gallery of seamless wallpapers I've made is now at:- Droid Wallpapers, Droid Gallery and others' backgrounds are posted throughout the thread. Please add to this thread if you have something that works well. =) Thanks to all who have contributed!

    (Also note that anything that is noted as rendered (ie the abstract backgrounds) is my own doing and you are free to alter, repost, ect.)

    my own newest wallpaper (adaptation from photograph by argos):

    for the latest in what others are using in the thread!

    Let's see if this works. I've been trying out making seamless scrolling abstract images with GIMP to use in home++...these were all made using the 'flame' plugin and, when needed, the 'make seamless' function. They're at max resolution, and for the most part, scroll through the loop without a break.

    ps, the idea/explanation comes from Backgrounds With the Gimp and GIMP is free at GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program (props where they are due =D)

    I like them!! That seam on some wallpapers does get kind of annoying. Have you made any with a fire like scheme?

    Thanks! I only have one fire-like one so far, and I didn't like it as much (it was the first one I tried). I'll do another in a bit.

    Yeah, I'm pretty new at using gimp myself (I keep trying to find the photoshop menus.) I'm trying to create more seamless photo style backgrounds, but obviously it's a bit more difficult than playing with renders and filters. If anyone has any good source pics where the right and left edges are similar enough to photostitch and touch up a bit, that would be a great start!

    If anyone else has anything they're using that works well as a background in home++, please add it to the thread!
