SD card erase

I want to get rid of all of the files I do not need on my sd card, the only problem is i don't which files I have to keep. Everyone know as you use your phone folders and files you don't need pop up. Is there anyway to get my SD card back to how it was right when I first turned my phone on?

Format it. Any apps that use folders on your sd will recreate them. Any app that requires a file on your sd you would know about.
