SD card clarification

The external 16g card seems to be labeled "sdcard2" and the internal sd card (which we can't pull) seems to be labeld sdcard. Is this correct ?

Also, when wiping data/cache or doing a factory reset, are BOTH of those cards safe ?

You are correct on all fronts.
internal SD = /sdcard
external SD = /sdcard2 or /sdcard/ext_sd
Factory reset wiill not touch either card.
