Screen Timeout

Hey Everyone...

I am always appreciative for all of the useful advice you all provide!

Here's my latest questions.... I keep my Droid turned on, but silent, when I sleep. I work third shift... sleeping during the day... so it's common to get a phone call at some point during the day when I am sleeping.

I have been noticing lately that when I wake up, the screen is turned ON... it for some reason does not turn back off after a certain amount of time.

When I get texts, it turns off just fine... but every time there is a missed call and voicemail, the phone's screen stays on.

I have to imagine that this reduces the life of the screen and could eventually lead to images burn in the screen.... (does that even happen with these screens... LOL)

Any thoughts, advice, and/or corrections are more than welcome...

I'm not sure if this will solve your problem but if you click on settings>applications>development you can uncheck the "stay awake" box. This should allow your screen to sleep while it is charging
