If you're on 4.4, no. Was possible if on 4.2.2 by 'preparing' phone before OTA to 4.4. No root exists for 4.4, but maybe someone is waiting til after 4.4.2 is out to announce something so's not to clue Verizon into killing the unknown exploit. Stay tuned, but don't hold yer breath. :-S
