Screen goes blank

My screen goes blank after about 10-15 seconds when making a call.
My display settings are at 10 minutes.
I can still hear/converse, but screen remains blank.
What (if anything) can I do to either prevent this from happening or get my screen back after it does happen.

I believe the on call goes by the sensors as when you place near your ear it goes blank...if you place it away from you it should come back on it's own...Or when on speaker phone it should stay on....

My RAZR keeps going dead, no screen, only green call light blinks, if I hit power off, then green light stops, and bottom buttons lights up, but phone won't shut off or start. If I depress on/off button for over a minute or more, then it will sometimes come back on, but as soon as I leave it, screen shuts off, then it is dead again and I have to push on/off again to get it to come on again, but if I am not using it, goes dead all over again. Battery is charged.
