    SPRecovery vs Clockwork?

Ok so i just rooted again now I rooted awhile back but i just stayed stock rooted. Now this time I want to go all out, rom theme an overclock, but i need help. I downloaded Rom manager but it says i need clockwork not SPRecovery so i'm confused on what to do. Since i don't have clockwork does this mean i cant use rom manager? I mean i don't know. what will happen if i flash clockwork on my phone like rom manager is telling me when i already have SPRecovery? SO guys i just need to understand how to use roms an overclocking kernels.

Do some research before doing anything man. SBF is a process where you get your phone back to out of the box state. Clockwork is the recovery image that allows you to flash roms, make backups etc.. rom manager should install cw for you

It won't hurt anything at all to flash clockwork through rom manager. Rom manager even gives you the option to flash back to sprecovery but you need clockwork to use rom manager.

Once you do some research and start flashing roms, I would say get rid of sprecovery, clockwork, and rom manager and go with rzrecovery. Much better!

another vote for RzRecovery. and you dont need Rom Manager, there is a reason they call it "Rom Mangler". Once you have RzRecovery installed do a nandroid backup and start flashing roms. its not hard to do, just make sure to read, read and read some more.

I'm saying take the jump to RzRecovery, it has more features that you can shake a stick at! Theres no handy UI for it like Rom manager, but I'd say it still works like a charm!

I recently upgraded to the Droid Charge and now my D1 is my spare. I was going to start tinkering around with it and learning some new things. I currently have SPRecovery installed on the D1. If I flash Clockwork, will it replace SPRecovery?
