So I will be giving my OG Droid to my sister after I upgrade to the D3 next month. I'm curious as to what would be the easiest/fastest/best way to SBF back to stock. I've never actually done it before and am a bit wary as to messing with it. lol

    Thank you ahead of time,
    -Yonz

First step, make sure you have the Motorola Drivers installed on your pc.

    Go here
    http://www.peteralfonso.com/p/downloads.html

Scroll down to "SBF Files (Flash Using RSD Lite)

    And download this file "FRG83G"

Download and install Motorola's RSD Lite from the link above also.

Turn your phone off or pull the battery. Reboot into the boot loader by holding "up" on the dpad and the power button.

Plug in the phone via USB to your pc.

    Start RSD Lite

Click the box that has the little "..." on it and select the SBF file that you just downloaded.

Slide your phone open and get ready to press and hold "up" on the dpad.

    On RSD Lite click "Start"

Wait for it to run and it will say "Rebooting Device" or something to that effect.

As soon as the phone shuts off, press and hold "up" on the dpad now and your phone should reboot into bootloader.

Now look on RSD Lite and you should see the word "PASS"

If you do, close out RSD Lite and press the power button on the Droid to shut your phone off.

Unplug the USB and reboot the phone.

You should now be on 2.2.2 UNROOTED

    Thank you for the post.

I might try this a few times and then re-root to build familiarity with the process.

That's actually a good idea, last week I tried running a mod through Metamorph and had to SBF mine. Forgot how to do it so I had to go through and figure everything out again lol.

If I SBF to a prior build, (IE: FRG22) will it be prompted to update, or will it automatically update to FRG83G?

B/c I figure if I can simply SBF, re-root, SBF, re-root, etc to build up familiarity.

If you SBF to a prior build it will download the FRG83G update once you restart the phone, but then prompt you to reboot so you can install the update. You can continuously SBF to get familiar with the process but I wouldn't do it too much out of fear of messing something up.
