Saving an app

Since wireless tether isn't in the market anymore is there a way I can save the app.

You could also go copy it with root explorer...

it is in /system/app and you can either copy the APK from there or use Titanium to back it up. I actually do both. I have a folder on my PC with all my APK's that I updated once a month or so and I use TiBu on my device as well.

You can actually still access blocked apps like wireless tether on the market. Just enable airplane mode and then turn on WiFi. If you already had wireless tether installed it will still show up as "installed" and you could still get any future updates.

It's in /data/app unless it came preinstalled with a ROM. Then, it'll be in /system/app. The folder is a great idea! :)
