At the end of last week, we shared an unusual promotion from Samsung that seemed a little too strange to be viable. Of course, life can surprise you, and that's exactly what happened with the Samsung Ultimate Test Drive. Apparently, people signed up so fast for the new Samsung flagship for a dollar rental plan that Sammy is already out of stock.

Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the program was a huge success. It could be that Samsung simply had a very small supply of devices ear-marked for the program. It's worth noting that Samsung didn't halt the program. They plan to continue it once they refill stock. Folks interested in doing so should simply check back with the website frequently. You can do that here: Samsung Store.

You can also email them directly for more info here: info@samsungultimatetestdrive.com

Color me shocked. I am genuinely curious how many of their devices are being "tested" right now.

I'm not shocked. Even if you only use it for 30 days and then send it back, a buck is super cheap to play with a new toy like these phones for one month.

Heck, maybe I'll try and check out the S6 Edge+ just for kicks. I know this was geared more towards apple customers, but if they don't do anything to verify what phone I'm currently using, why not? Not to mention, if I was truly impressed with a newer Samsung device, I might not look to another OEM for my next upgrade like I'm seriously considering now.

They do verify. You can only sign up for the program from an iPhone.
