Samsung's Big Marketing Push Recruits World Cup Icons for Galaxy Ad Series

For folks who haven't been paying attention to Samsung's next big ad campaign called Galaxy 11, it's basically a mini-mini-series in which an intriguing Earth versus Aliens story seems to be unfolding. In the series, Aliens visit our planet and demand a Football/Soccer match. The commercials play out separately as a global "Dream Team" of some of the most iconic sports figures around the globe are recruited for this "Galactic" Football/Soccer match. The whole team has now been assembled and includes an iconic mix of some of the best in the world, including World Cup rivals from differing teams. The team is lead by none other than European football legend, Franz Beckenbauer. Here's a quick list of the 13 members of this group of masters:

Now that the team is assembled, can this menagerie of sports heroes defend the Earth from the Alien menace? Who knows, but it makes for some great entertainment, and a perfect way to see how Samsung is spending some of that $4.6 Billion marketing budget.
