Man, Verizon are such Jerks. They made Samsung lock the bootloader on this phone for them, and a week after unlimited ends and everyone has ordered their phones they come out with the phone we all really wanted.
They did the same thing with the Razr, releasing the RazrMaxx just after everyone bought the first Razr including my brother. Exact same phone but better.
    What a bunch of Jerks.

Samsung is releasing this, not Verizon. They are doing it cause of the recent news of the locked bootloader. So it's good for Samsung for answer the customer complaints.

Will another carriers S3 work on Verizon? Could you get one subsidized from another carrier, and then put a Verizon sim in it. My grandmother is on ATT and has an upgrade, but still uses her flip phone so she wouldn't mind if i used her upgrade.

Actually sprint is cdma but I don't think the sprint one will work on Verizon. I think the u.s. Cellular one is cdma also.

If you need to upgrade and have to pay "full price" for a new phone anyway, wouldn't this be the way to go??? Yea, perfect way to get around their locked bootloaders, "AND" beat Vzw at their own game!

I don't think you have to be eligible for upgrade if you're gonna pay full price for the phone. I'm gonna have to pay full price for phones for now on in order to keep my precious unlimited data.
