Whether you are a novice user or an advanced expert in smartphone tech, you will likely find at least something useful in these eight tips and tricks for the Galaxy S7 and/or S7 Edge. Enjoy!
  1. Enable your Fingerprint security - This one is easy, but here's how you get there: Settings > Lock screen and security > Fingerprints.
  2. Customize or Disable the Always on Display - Head into display > always on display > and switch it on or off. Alternatively, you can setup custom options for when and how it will function.
  3. Activate Download Booster - Download booster is a handy feature of the Galaxy S7 series that uses both Wi-Fi and LTE to give your downloads a speed bump. To enable just head to Settings > More connection settings > finally > enable Download booster feature.
  4. Enable Quick Camera Launch - Do you want to get that quick pic at the right moment? With the S7 series you can launch the camera by tapping the home button twice - enable this: Settings > Advanced features menu category > activate corresponding switch in the menu.
  5. Enable Motion Photo - Sammy's Motion Photo records the first few seconds before and after a still shot to help you get the best possible picture. Enable this in the camera settings.
  6. Activate "Find my Mobile" for extra security - You should go to Settings > Lock screen > Security > then choose Find My Mobile. As long as you have an eligible Samsung account, this will give you remote control of your device if you lose it or it is stolen.
  7. Easy Screen Turn On (with a wave) - If you want to look like a Jedi and activate your phone with a simple wave of the hand over it, go to Settings > Accessibility > Dexterity and interaction, then activate it.
  8. End or Answer Phone Calls with Physical Buttons or Voice Commands - If you go to Settings > Accessibility, then navigate inside "Answering and ending calls," you will find the ability to end or answer phone calls with either the physical buttons on the side of the device, or with voice commands. Nifty!
These are just a small few of the slick new functions you can find on the new Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. There are tons of other options available. If you have a favorite tip or trick that we didn't mention, please share it with everyone in this thread!

I like the DIRECT CALL feature. More like LOVE.
If you are looking at a text from someone, left the phone to your ear and it calls.
If you are looking at the call log, lift to your ear and it calls the most recent number.

There is a hidden feature (discovered by someone over at XDA) to access DPI scaling (those of us who downloaded the preview of Android N saw it could be an option in the next android version).

To access (non-rooted and not wanting to run any commands thru adb, you can download Nova and access it thru widgets by selecting "activities" function)...the steps are in the link below. It will require you to reboot if you select "condensed" but upon reboot, it looks awesome!

There is Native DPI Scaling Hidden in the Galaxy S7
