The other new phablet-style device revealed at the Samsung Unpacked Event is the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. It's basically an enlarged version of the Galaxy S6 Edge. We all knew it was coming, and here are all of the details.
  • 5.7-inch quad HD super AMOLED display at 518 pixels per inch
  • Exnyos 7420 processor, a 64-bit octa-core chipset
  • 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization
  • 5-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 3,000mAh battery
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Bluetooth v4.2m NFC and USB 2.0
  • 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs 153 grams
  • Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
  • 32 or 64GB of storage (no 128GB option)
  • Fast Wireless charging
  • Non-Removable Battery
  • No MicroSD Slot
As you can see, it turns out that both devices are nearly identical. The main differences are the curved display & lack of an S-Pen on the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, as well as the slightly different sizes of the phones.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will become available to all four major US carriers on on August 21st. Prices will vary by carrier.

Looks pretty interesting. I'm not a fan of the Edge devices but I can see how this could be exciting for those that are. Basically it's the same way I felt after Google announced the N6 after moving the N5. It's all about that screen, no bezels.

Yeah... it is a good-looking device. Like technological art. I'm not sure of its practical value, but if you want a pretty phone, it fits the bill.
