Its a smartphone, Verizon requires you to get a data plan.(which is dumb)

Also it is with signing a contract.

Free is certainly a GREAT deal for the S3. The S3 is still a very current device today in my opinion.

I've got two family members who've ordered....and possibly a friend. As for me, I just ordered the Note 2. I know. The S3 has a more current Os and better camera, but I couldn'tget past the size of the screen.
