Just yesterday we picked up the story that the SGSIII would have a simultaneous global launch and would be sporting some very interesting and impressive specs. That "rumor" just became a reality. The Samsung Galaxy S 3 will arrive dressed in a very impressive package. We bring to you, the Samsung Galaxy SIII:
    • 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
    • 4.8-inch “full HD” 1080p resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio display
    • A 2-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera
    • Ceramic case
    • 4G LTE
    • Android 4.0
We believe this is the premier Android phone to own in 2012. The Exynos is unmatched in performance, and now adding 2 more cores to this already impressive phone just made it a lot more desirable. The argument could be made that a Quad Core is a little over kill with where software is at this time, and we would tend to agree, but this handset is as future proof is it gets. Still no word on carrier availability. Did we hear someone just say "I hope it hits Verizon"?

Update: There is rumor that the handset will drop "mid summer." July anyone?

Nearly bezel-less. I wonder how that will work out. Great specs and looks absolutely beautiful.

If it is indeed bezel-less, wouldn't that force cases to cover a portion of the screen? Seems like without a bezel, you would need a case even more.

only if the phone was about an inch smaller it would be perfect. Being that big its pretty much worthless.

I am on my 8th OG Droid and I am planing on going from Moto to Samsung, I just like what they are doing with their phones right now. This looks like my next device as long as its on Verizon.

Can we get some wagering or a reader poll on wether or not we think this is coming to VZW?

If this comes to VZW I'll lick the business end of a skunk.
Translation: I dont think this phone is coming to VZW. Ever

Yeah, 4.8" is too damn big. And no hardware buttons.

Nice display though. Nice everything else really. It better have SD and a removable battery.

I like it. I don't like it not having hard keys. And it is a little too big. Manufactures are trying to combine tablets and phones in one. IE: The Note.

They even make tablets smaller then the Bionic, not the best ones, but they exist.

Phones IMO should be seperate. A tablet with blue tooth calling would be a good alternative for someone who wants a tablet and to be able to make calls.

If you have an upgrade soon, and are a 'loyal' VZW customer, you can pick up the Galaxy Nexus for free by extending your contract for 2 years.

Let's see if they actually use decent radios in it.
