Kinda makes me wonder if my Note 4 has similar little "levers" for detection. It knows the pen is in there somehow. I just figured it was tiny little elves living in there, eating my leftover data and drinking like sailors.

I'm not saying a word, lol! But I can assure you, the pen only needs to go in about 1/3 of the way, less than half way for it to no longer be functional. And there is no indication whatsoever that you have passed the point of no return.

So if the back was removable this could easily be resolved by the customer.

Oh. I didn't realize people were putting the pen in upside-down, I read "backwards" and thought maybe it was angled on one side to allow the pen to slide in and out properly. I retract what I said in the first post about this problem.

It reminds me of this:

This really is blown out of proportion.

This really is blown out of proportion.

All the non-important stuff is nowadays. Sad we have nothing better to do with our time.

Before it was:

"Man I sat down on my phone and broke it, need to get a new one".

Now it is,

"iPhone 6 + is bending in back pockets, 'Bendgate', hellfire and what not".

Or:

"I jammed this into my phone the wrong way and now it is broken".

Now:

"I jammed this into my phone the wrong way, 'Pengate', hellfire and what not".

I thought it was an issue of had to be flipped over the other way, still "butt or erasure" end out...
Wow some people are stupid and certainly should get their flip phone back...

I don't get how you would ever insert the pen backwards. I mean, you eject it into your hand in the writing orientation. Once done and ready to be replaced you're still holding it in the same orientation so it seems only natural that you would insert it point first.

Unless you are really really stupid and decide to experiment to see if it is really that easy to put it in backwards. I will say that I have never ever put my s-pen in backwards for my N2 and N3.
