samsung fascinate update

So I've rooted my phone when i first got it and since then a few updates have come out. I've tried updating through the phone and it says updates are available but it will never take and from my understanding this is because of the root??

currently:

hardware ver: I500.04
model: SCHI500
firmware ver: 2.2.1
baseband ver: s:i500.04 V.ED01
kernel ver: 2.6.32.9
build num: SCH-I500.ED01

as stated I've got the root but since its the stock rom/kernel its massively bloated, it tweaks out all the time, etc. I'll be wiping it completely and then I'm looking for a good rom that would wipe all the crap out. I've seen so many numbers floating around (DJ05, DI01, ED01) that I'm not entirely sure which is the latest and which i should be putting on. Suggestions for a wipe/install ?

hi, not sure if u got it working or not. but yes root would block the OTA from going thru. u would have to go back to stock, do the updates then reroot. im going to move this to the Fascinate section
