just ran across the following from cnet. look like there will the a lot of deals that is supposed to help you get the new s9 phone. what I find interesting is they are only giving 350 if you trade in a note 8. IMO, that is a ripoff.

Galaxy S9 trade-in deal: AT&T to offer $150 in bill credit and $350 for your old phone

found the following at android central

College students can get the best deal on Samsung's Galaxy S9 or S9+

$350 for a Note 8 does seem like a rip off. My two year old S7 is worth $300 on trade in. That seems closer to reality.

yea, you cannot tell me the note 8 depreciated almost 700 bucks in a few months. I would also be willing to bet when they get the phone there will be something wrong with it so they would not have to pay the 350 bucks. at this time, a new price for the s7 is almost 500 bucks depending where you get it. something is wrong here.

I just love these trade in deals... They are mostly garbage.. I was looking at the Google store trade in values the other day and same deal.. Don't use the trade in

I mean, I traded in a 3 year old LG G4 with a bad battery that wasn't even my most recent phone and Samsung honored the $300 trade-in for my Galaxy S8+, so I don't know about them pretending the phone is broken when they get it.

it has happened in the past, there are lots of complaints online about it. I personally do not trust any trade in that must be done by mail where you pay full price then send in the phone to get the credit.
