S-OFF has been achieved on the VZ Droid Incredible 2 using the exploit from AlphaRevX.

Many thanks to IEF and the rest of the AlphaRev team!

No tutorial yet, they've only just achieved it. I'm sure once they have a working recovery other than the chinese one that is floating around they'll simply incorporate it into the beta of alpharevx.

AlphaRev doesn't do ETAs but yes ideally they'll have a foolproof way as soon as they are able to.

Hooray! I'm so excited! But I would still really like to have an official update to Android 2.3.4 like the thunderbolt is getting... Ah well, life will go on.

I am impressed. Now I need to decide soon, go the root route, or take the GB OTA update?

Just do the s-off! You can flash the ota update with root and wireless tether after and it can only get better.

So say we already updated, I'm assuming that the root won't work. Is there any way to revert back to from 2.3?
