    Hey all,

I know that Pete has left Facebook out of his plain Beast, but for some reason when I installed the Nextheme over it, it reinstalled FB.

I tried deleting it through market but didnt work.

    any ideas

If you have Root Explorer you can go in and delete the .apk file from data/app or system/app depending on where it is.

Facebook is included in NexTheme so it can be themed along with the rest of the items in the theme. Because it's in /system/app, you can't uninstall it in the regular way. As jrod said, you need to delete it from /system/app.

Yes, if you have Terminal Emulator, you should be able to use the script "rmfacebook" in Terminal Emulator:

    su
    rmfacebook

and if that doesn't work, try this:

    su
    sysrw
    rm /system/app/Facebook.apk

I can't emphasize enough how much I use Root Explorer and how much easier it makes things like this. It's worth getting.

I'm out of ideas, other than to suggest getting Root Explorer and doing a search to find it, then delete it.
