Well, if the 2.2 update does come out on the 7th as rumored, it would be a nice birthday present, as my birthday's coming soon after, and it would be the only present I would get. So I'd be happy.

Worth waking up to read, but I'm gonna take a siesta on this one. I decided not to root, so I think I'm required to shut-up, be patient & wait for the 2.2 OTA. Thanks for the update (color me skeptical after 2.1, but fat chance imho)

I keep hearing about the 2.2 froyo for the Android. How exactly do I get the update for my Droid? Is it already available? I'm new to the Droid world and still figuring things out. i believe I'm running 2.1 right now. When will I be able to upgrade?

sometime late next week or the next your phone will turn off by itself then turn back on. You will then have "Froyo"
