i did take those steps immediatdly upon noticing the problem, turns out that gmail felt like waiting unti i was asleep and had forgotten to turn down phone ...needless to say it started ringin off notifications at me. now im seein that my phone used 40% of battery overnight, what gives with that. never has that happened
