rubix 1.6 download issues

im trying to download some zip files and after their done downloading ill go into astro and click on the zip that i just downloaded and it will say "error directory my_photos.zip could not be loaded when i try to extract it it says error listing files for zip file my_photos.zip any one know what the problem might be? i never had this happen on 2.2 froyo but now im running rubiX 1.6 and i cant download anything

any help would be greatly appreciated
