When I put my droid 2 into bootloader mode RSD just lists it as

S Flash...
And It says N/A for the IMEI/ESN/MEID.

Any ideas? Or is this normal?

same thing happened to me yesterday when I tried to open rsd lite, just to practice (just in case!) I was told that its ok. As long as it says connected, youre good. Dont quote me on that though. Its just what I was told.

What if on xp windows?

Depending on your user settings (I had a separate admin account for security reasons on XP), you might have to right-click and run it as an administrator.

Mine says that and I've done it twice with no problems.

I've always seen N/A for that junk, I've sbf'd countless times. It's safe.

I should follow up on this some more. A guy I know fried his D2 and I said I could get it back to stock before returning it to VZW. When I plugged his in, my computer would recognize the phone but SBF did not. It worked fine for me and my phone, but there is really no reason why it would be hit or miss the way that it is as far as I know.

I have had to redownload the usb drivers from moto's site in order to get it to work before too, you might try that

Have you selected the sbf file? Is it showing up on the right side of rsd lite? You won't be able to hit start until rsd sees a sbf file to flash
