    what is the lates sbf file to restore your phone to factory

    i have the 2.0

    is there a 2.2 with the latest updates out ?

    droid 1

    anybody have a link...the only sbf file i have is 129 mgbytes

    The second has all sorts of files but it isn't organized very well, the first has the latest of everything (except the master FRG22D file but that can be found at the second link) for your basic needs.

    No. At least not in its current iteration. You'll need to follow link 2 in my signature or use superoneclick.

    Link two is preferred as you get SPRecovery and root in one fell swoop.

    i got it updated, then ran the super app..great

    one more question..

    how can i swap messenger apps with one from a custom rom...thats the only thing i want off of it....

    i just want the options to add audio and such on the messenger app, i want to use the stock messenger app

    I think you'd need to flash the ROM or go through a whole mess of terminal or Root Explorer commands; the mms.apk is a system app.

    Pretty much. Have you looked into Handcent and ChompSMS? They work with the stock messaging app.

    yea i was trying to avoid them
    i been running custom roms forever..

    im trying to give the stock rom a chance

    what kernel do you suggest running with stock rom?

    As low a voltage one as you can get running for extra battery savings -- but if you're running stock unless you want to OC past 800MHz then you don't need a different kernel, really. The stock kernel on 2.2 does pretty much everything we needed a custom kernel for on 2.0 and 2.1.
