route up on navigation?

Is there a way to make the standard Google Maps navigation display "route up" rather than "north up?"
I'm running ICS, latest update on Maps, but it's been like this since the git-go. Useless to me this way, I can't turn my head upside down to see what's coming up.

Just tap the little compass icon in navigation (the red and white pointer thingy), that is the toggle between North Up and current direction up, should take care of it for you.
