I was just reading a similar thread on another site and the OP got about 50 diffrerent answers about what rom is best! I'd say try out AOKP and if that doesnt do it for you, then just try the next one!

I'd go with AOKP build 38 (non linaro - at least until they get it dialed in better). Stick with the stock Faux kernel. This is the best combo I've run in the 6 months I've had the phone. My phone is flawlessly smooth, fast and stable. Incredible battery life as well. I'm averaging 20-24 hours on a single charge now when I was averaging less than 14 hours on any previous rom. If you're wondering, I run with 4g on, GPS on, Wifi on, Autobrightness on, everything set to sync, plenty of widgets running and 2+ hours of screen time daily and I'm still able to achieve 20+ hours per day. Note that I do have the extended battery and I live in a very strong 4g area. If I can't find wifi where ever I am, I still manage about 18 hours on a charge.

So I went with Franco Kernel Milestone 4. Only been a few hours with it so I'll see how this goes.

The wheatley governor does not function properly on the Franco or GLaDOS kernel, I suggest if using these kernels go with interactive.

For ROM selection try Gummy, Cyanogenmod 9, or AOKP. Basically the same with variations on power widgets, kernel choice and other small differences.
