One of the coolest features of the Galaxy S6 is the all new Samsung Pay which allows you to use your phone to pay on as many as 90% of all credit card pay terminals. It uses a new technology that is more than just NFC. Samsung Pay allows you to use your phone to pay at most MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) point of sale terminals. The technology behind Samsung Pay is the tech acquired from Loop Pay. It beams the saved data from your card's magnetic strip wirelessly to standard card readers. It generates a quickly changing magnetic field and can reach up to 3 feet.

This is one awesome and convenient feature! There is some bad news for those of you who have decided to root your S6 or S6 Edge. Samsung Pay is tied so heavily into Samsung's security system that when you break your KNOX by rooting you have also broken your Samsung Pay. This feature hasn't yet launched, but should be available mid summer. If this is a feature you desire you may want to hold off on rooting.
