Hi Guys I need some help. I bought a cheap Chinese 4G LTEPhone with an MTK6595 processor.
I tried using Kingo to root it. It says root success but other apps say this is not the case. Have tried rooting with other packages. This is a down load

    Congratulations! You have root access!

    Super User Application Status:
Superuser application - is NOT installed.
SuperSU application - is NOT installed.

System File Properties for Root Access:
    Standard Location
    Check Command: ls -l /system/bin/su:
Result: /system/bin/su: No such file or directory
Analysis: File /system/bin/su does not exist.

    Standard Location
    Check Command: ls -l /system/xbin/su:
    Result: -rwsr-sr-x root root 0 2014-07-24 21:16 su
Analysis: Setuid attribute is present and root user ownership is present. Root access IS correctly configured for this file! Executing this file can grant root access!

    Alternative Location
    Check Command: ls -l /sbin/su:
    Result: /sbin/su: Permission denied
Analysis: File system permissions restricted and denied access.

    Alternative Location
    Check Command: ls -l /system/xbin/sudo:
Result: /system/xbin/sudo: No such file or directory
Analysis: File /system/xbin/sudo does not exist.

Root User ID and Group ID Status:
    Root user id:
Root not properly returning its user id

    Root group id:
Root not properly returning its group id

    System Environment PATH: /sbin /vendor/bin /system/sbin /system/bin /system/xbin

    ADB Shell Default User:
ADB shell setting for standard access, stored in default.prop, is configured as: shell (non root) user - ro.secure=1

Results provided on your 4G - Android 4.3.1 device by Root Checker Pro version 1.3.7 from joeykrim in the Android

I think its close and might need some files installed or moved. I am unsure how to do this.

    Thanks in advance

    Welcome to the Forum.

Get root checker from the Play Store. it will verify root. Have you installed SuperUser? If not do so and let us know the results.

From the beginning of your report it looks like you need to install superuser or ssu (my preference) and update the binaries.

Both of those replies are wrong. I still have the same problem. Its happened when i made the Superuser app into a system app. Then, i tried to delete Kingo root apk, and now I can't reinstall it nor can I uninstall the superuser apk. Not brave enough to factory restore, had white screen of death happen to the Mrs phone.

you need to go to the site you got the kingo from and see what they say. the reality is, without a lot more information, there is no way anyone here can help and I really don't know where to begin. we don't even know the full phone model that you are trying to fix.

Sorry, Thought everybody was on the same thread. The "smartphone" is the ZTE N817, also known as Legacy, Qlink, or here recently it being called the Wellington. It's the free government from QLink Wireless. So any advice on how to unbrick (soft brick) it. I can't seem to find the correct flash loader to reinstall or factory restore it? i hate this phone.jpg
