I restarted after 9 min and did perm root...... not sure if it worked yet but it restarted

you should see the app superuser in your app drawer, to check for root you can get root check, free from the market, or if you have terminal emulator I'll tell you what to type

ok i have the app....do i have to click on it in order to delete preloaded stuff off my phone?

everything, delete bloatware, tether, ROMs, themes, overclock, etc etc

I ran the bootstrap and the phone rebooted but didnt take me to any other menu. it oaded normally and now i cant find the bootstrap anymore.....did I do something wrong?

The backup goes in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
When you use the app, hit bootstrap recovery first, it should say success, then hit reboot recovery. It may prompt you to give superuser permission when you open the app, do so and hit remember

Got it! thank you. Now you mentioned before about roms and themes and overclock? is there any way you can give me a little detail on those?
