does rooting the droid void the warranty and/or verizon (asurion) insurance?
You're killing me, Smalls. This should answer your question.
Sorry, then disregard the question.
No worries. Usually I will help, but when the question is addressed in stickies, I prefer the "teach a man to fish" method. Have fun with your phone.
Thats the nicest way of telling someone to "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON " I have ever heard, well played.
Funny, i've always been a "why waste a post telling someone to search when the answer is a simple yes/no type of thing"
Thus, I will answer in this thread:
YES, rooting DOES void the warranty (technically) - however it is possible to use the SBF file to completely unroot (this I WILL tell you to search for, google "2.0.1 SBF")
As for the Asurion, well, i'm not sure about the standard insurance; but i'm pretty sure it would still be covered if you have TEC (Total Equipment Coverage)
Nice, I don't know many people that use that expression, made me smile.
