    Hello

I have a Motorola Droid 1 running 2.2 FRG22D and am trying to root it. I won't have access to a PC that will be able to download files necessary to root it for some time.

Is there any way to root this using a Mac? Or am I going to have to just sit tight and wait?

    Thanks!

I appreciate your post, but from what the provided link states, I will be unable to root it using my Mac.

And you are correct. That method has been shown to work for the Droid x. However, I have a similar method that should work for the A855 at my site here:

Root the A855 without RSD Lite + make it ROM ready

It's a bit lengthy and it uses ADB shell which I have heard can be used on a Mac. Or the steps can be modified to use a Terminal Emulator on your droid 1 as well.

    good luck
