    Hello,
I had a rooted 2.0.1 droid that i loved, but I had to swap it out because of bad hardware. Now I am stuck using an unrooted 2.1 droid. I've read about how to root 2.1 by rolling back to 2.0.1, my problem is I don't have a windows machine. I was able to root 2.0.1 using my Mac... How soon (if ever) will I be able to root 2.1 with my Mac?

It would be great to be able to tether my droid to the iPad we have at work...

I'm pretty sure that there is no way to root 2.1 with just a update.zip or something. You could flash Pete's rooted 2.1 sbf using RSD Lite or flash 2.0.1 sbf and reroot.
