For those that like running stock, but like having root - i.e. a "pure" stock rooted phone, here is the latest (and evidently valid/final) FRG01B OTA file, rooted by Jrummy. I have absolutely nothing to do with this, simply the messenger...

The only reason I'm posting this is because it was completely buried in its respective thread, and is useful info for those that simply want root access with 2.2. Here's the original post:

    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...es-frg01b-official-get-here-6.html#post713153

And the download link (it's the same filename as the non-rooted OTA):

    http://bit.ly/frg01b

    Installation

    - Method 1 - SPRecovery: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html - box options 01 - 04, and in 04, replace ESE81update.zip with the file Jrummy edited.

    - Method 2 - Clockwork Recovery: If you're already rooted, or running a custom ROM, you can install ROM Manager from the market (if you don't already have it), then open ROM Manager and flash Clockwork recovery. Then you can either install it through ROM Manager, or reboot, hold X to enter recovery, and install it through recovery.

whether you install it or not, the above methods will install the rooted version, so no, you don't have to do anything

hmm, that I don't know - it's a cache folder, so if you wipe cache that'll get rid of it likely... i'll see if i can find that

and, you should be able to install this the same way you installed FRG22, just for reference
