rooted, themed, apped, now no cell serveice?

i got my droid 2 rooted and installed a skin. then installed some apps and now i have no cell service and the back of the phone gets realy hot. the battery lasts like 12-15 hours now.

if i can restore the while phone to factory and root then i'll be happy. but this is my only phone, no land line so yea i kinda need it

What do you mean by "skin?" A physical add-on, or are you referring to a theme?

Make sure your phone is activated and roaming updated....dial *228 and select option one, then when that completes select option two.

If that doesn't help, then boot into recovery (via Droid 2 Bootstrap program you used to install the custom recovery) and restore the backup you made after rooting but before applying the theme (if that's what you meant by "skin") - presuming that you had signal after root.

If you didn't make a backup (lesson learned) then you'll have to use the SBF process to get back to stock and then re-root again if you want to.
