My friend has the Samsung Moment (Sprint) and I rooted it about a month or two ago... and just today he started getting notifications and a popup for an OTA system update. Should I give him the OK to do it, or deal with ignoring it? I remember being told to let the update "install" on my phone because ClockWorkMod would block it (which it did), but I'm not sure if matters would go the same for my friend's phone, seeing as it IS a relatively old device (with SPRecovery btw)... so yeah, what should I [tell him to] do?

SPR and ClockWork block the update on VZW. Have no idea if the same is true for Sprint.

Make a backup first then if something happens you can recover. BTW, I would backup the SD card on my computer as well in case you lose root
