Rooted or not with DroidXroot ?

Getting ready to load FROYO on my X and I want it to be rooted.

Downloaded DroidXroot and followed instructions to get a successfull root notification on 2.1

I have the Superuser icon.

Downloaded wireless tether and Titanium backup. Neither function, Titanium says it can't cant access root and wireless just says "unable to start tethering.

I also understand I need to move the Superuser APK prior to loading 2.2 is that correct?
