    Hi

I was trying to flash the stock KitKat 4.4 back from Franco Kernel just so that I could upgrade to Lollipop. So, I downloaded the necessary zips and followed instructions, all of which I got from this post on XDA (development/rom-flashable-stock-rom-radio-kernel-t2527806). However, two of the files didn't work (radio and ROM) and so now:
    (a) my Nexus 4 is not loading - it just shows the Google logo with a grey unlock sign at the bottom and all I have is recovery mode.
    (b) I can't seem to connect to my Mac to be able to transfer any working .zips over there in order to try and flash a different .zip file.

I have ClockworkMod v6.0.4.7 for my custom recovery.

Is there any hope at all?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe you have to flash the stock recovery and lock the boot loader again. I could be wrong about the boot loader, but I am almost certain you need the stock recovery. You can get all of the Nexus 4 stock firmware files from Google. You should be able to flash with fastboot.

I am almost positive that the new firmware will not take if you have a custom recovery.

    Hi Grenefroggie

Thanks for your reply and the link.

Yes, I think I was trying to flash the stock something (not sure if it was a stock recovery but I tried to flash various .zip files for radio, rom, boot loader, kernel that I got from here - ROM 5.0.0 LRX21T Flashable stock ROM R hellip Google Nexus 4 XDA Forums However, the radio and ROM wouldn't flash.

The problem I have however is that I can't now seem to get any new files onto the phone in order to flash them. Is there some way around that?

How does one flash with fast boot?

Can I enter stock recovery somehow?

    Cheers,

Just to let you know, I have managed to use adb and bootloader using the steps from the official Google site you linked me to and am now back up and running. Thanks a million!

Glad to see you got it working. For Nexus devices you can always go to that site and get the current stock firmware for your phone with instructions on how to flash it back to stock.
