Does anyone use their Droid (2.03 rooted) with Microsoft/Ford Sync in the car via USB cable?

Before rooting it worked fine, plug in cable, car see's all of my tunes and I can select artist/album/song from entertainment controls on the dash.

After rooting: plug droid in, select USB as source, dashboard says "Initializing..." for about two minutes, then goes to "Unsupported Device".

Still works fine via bluetooth, but not my ideal way to play music...

Ive tried restoring the defaults in the car Sync settings, and rebooting the droid. The only thing that "works", is mounting the SD card and letting Sync see it has a removable media.

Anyone had this issue before, or any ideas on how to fix it?

Try turning OFF usb debugging mode. Menu>settings>applications>development>usb debugging

    Same problem

Did anyone find a solution to this problem. I am having the same issue after using Gingerbreak to root my Motorola Atrix 4G. When connecting my phone via USB to Ford/Microsoft Sync it says cannot connect or cannot find media. This worked perfectly before I rooted. I have turned off debugging mode in the application settings.

One thing I would try is downloading the drivers for your phone from motorolas website and transferfting them to your phone using rsd lite..I think that's how I did it?? Hope this helps...
